Literacy Cycle collects and redistributes educational resources to improve access to learning for students globally, including those in multilingual and diverse learning environments.
"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free."
— Frederick Douglass
What started in a room of six girls in Maryland has grown into a student-led movement with chapters across the United States and now internationally. Each Literacy Cycle Global chapter works within its community to collect and redistribute books and educational resources through schools and local organizations to reduce educational waste.
Literacy Cycle partners with youth-led chapters, school communities, and local supporters to collect books, supplies, and other learning resources, then redistributes them to students navigating illness, displacement, and limited access. We make educational support feel personal, practical, and immediate.
